York Corridor Business Improvement District Management Authority

The York Corridor Business Improvement District Management Authority is a community advocacy and improvement organization in North Baltimore intended to provide services that ensure a clean, green, and vibrant York Road Commercial Corridor. A property tax surcharge funds the ongoing work of the Authority, and a Board of Directors, composed of a variety of neighborhood stakeholders, will manage operations and activities.

Our vision is a cleaner, more vibrant, and hospitable York Road Corridor, where area businesses and institutions are more successful, commercial properties are more valuable, and residents and visitors enjoy the benefits of a thriving community. ​

    Come join your neighbors for a fun day of native flower planting on York Road, from 52nd St to Northern Pkwy.

    All flowers, dirt, mulch, gloves and tools will be provided. Coffee and water will also be available on site.

    Come join your neighbors for a fun day of native flower planting on York Road, from 42nd St to 51st St.

Project Manager (Part-Time, Contractual)

The Project Manager position will collaborate with the York Road Business Improvement District Executive Director to support high-priority initiatives that promote inclusive economic growth in the York Road Commercial Corridor. The chosen contractor will primarily facilitate capital improvement projects, liaise with small businesses and external partners, and support the administration of various grant programs that support business growth. Specific initiatives the Project Manager will help with include supporting the York Road Facade Improvement Program, the York Road Security Camera Program, the York Road Business Development Fund, and streetscape improvements.

York Corridor December BID Public Board Meeting & Financial Plan Presentation

On December 18th, 2023, the York Corridor Business Improvement District Management Authority hosted a community meeting to solicit public feedback on its FY24-25 Financial Plan. During this meeting, the organization provided detailed information on how it is working to improve the York Road Commercial Corridor for local residents and businesses. Following the presentation, the full Board of Directors voted to approve the FY24-25 Operating Budget.
